Be sure to keep an umbrella in your car should the weather change.  Cultivating the sweet corn... we need some rain to move it along! FIELD NOTES It's only June 22nd and it already feels like the long hot summer. We are in a drought condition right now and our next best chance of any kind of soaking rain will be this Wednesday. Let's hope it happens because the fields are looking pretty dire. Normally we have sweet corn for the 4th of July but because of the lack of rain and the heat it will be delayed as well as many other crops. On a happy note, we have a wonderful share for you this week. We're excited to have new offerings of mixed beets, baby scallions, and summer squash. As I am writing this our new tent is being erected in place of the farmstand. We finally received the part we were missing and if all goes well we may have a new CSA setup soon!
