Community Supported Agriculture(CSA) is a way to bring together community members, farmers, and farmland into a mutually beneficial relationship that sustains local agriculture, ensures greater food security, and strengthens communities. You will have the option of purchasing a“share” of the farm for a season of plentiful produce.
By purchasing a farm share with Bardwell Farm you are investing in the farm's harvest. You will be invested in the reward and risk of the week to week conditions we face during the growing season.
Why is Bardwell Farm implementing a CSA? We want to introduce a CSA for a few very meaningful reasons:
investing in a farm share at the start of the growing season you will save on costs rather than purchasing at a retail market, thats a savings of 15% or more per week!
you will be helping the farmer with many of their early season costs to get crops growing
we will bring food and relationships together one week at a time
you will be supporting a local farm; you will be feeding your family, your farmer, and the local economy
the money earned from the sale of shares will be used to further our sustainable agricultural goals for years to come
